If you don't have the room available for a table this wall hung console is perfect, it's made using wonderful reclaimed wood planks and is available in 22 or 44cm depth and various widths.
Perfect for a hallway with restricted room, the 22cm deep shelf can sit above a radiator to make use of the space or at the bottom of a stair case to simple hold a lamp and the days letters.
