I love making furniture and I love working with wood, the older and the more battered the better. I see endless possibilities of what can be made and of course I naturally hate waste, I have never been able to pass a reclamation yard without having a quick look and seeing mountains of reusable materials that eventually get burnt or sent to landfill so I decided to make use of this seemingly endless resource, I now create signs and furniture for you or your pets and sell it to you ........ This is Small Ridge Home.
About Small Ridge Home
I create in my workshop in Lichfield, Staffordshire (The Creative County) where I will take my weekly find from the reclaim yard and strip it down to the bare bones, until the years of paint, tar, staples and nails are gone which leaves the most magnificent wood, the beautiful grain and knots are free again which takes an awful lot of time but it's by far more rewarding than buying new.
All furniture is made to measure, nothing is just taken off a shelf and sent and I can assure everybody who buys from me that a lot of time and love has gone into whatever they buy, it's not everyday you can find somebody who loves their job.
Fun Fact: Small Ridge originally started as a jewellery company which takes vintage wind up watches and turns them into beautiful one-off pieces, this is still going strong but I like to divide my time between the two. Have a look at www.small-ridge.co.uk

How Do I Track My Order
Once you order is finished it will be despatch via Parcel Force and you will be emailed a reference number which you can track using the below link. Parcels will always be sent on a 48hr service.

Will My Table Be EXACTLY The Same As The Photos Shown
No, which is not a bad thing, every piece of wood is different so all tables will have different markings, some will have cracks where it has aged more than others and some will/will not have names branded onto them but that's all part of using reclaimed materials. I will always try my best to exclude anything that's drastically different to the photos on here but if you're in doubt click Chat With Us and I can send photos of your table as I make it.
